Today is a hectic day, and I love it! I kicked things off by defining an issue for my project, dove into learning about Android development, and tackled some work emails. My morning is more rushed than usual because I have a legal appointment in Prague this afternoon. I love remote work, but government offices still prefer a personal touch.
Despite my packed schedule, I still make time for small breaks. Why? Because they make me more productive and help me feel better.

How Did I Learn About Small Breaks?
In the past, I used to power through my to-do list in one go. The result? Total exhaustion. I jumped from one task to another, felt drained, and by Friday, my productivity was non-existent.
I started questioning if I should cut back on some responsibilities. But how? I needed to exercise, get work done, and cook healthy meals. With so much on my plate, I often skipped workouts and ended up ordering fast food. Now, I’m obese, and trust me, I don’t feel great about it. That’s when I discovered the magic of small breaks.
Small Breaks: How and Why?
I swear by the Pomodoro technique—25 minutes of work, followed by a 5-minute break. Five minutes might sound short, but it’s long enough to start the washing machine. Perfect for me!
1. Boosts Productivity
After a while, I get tired, miss obvious things, and make mistakes. A small break helps me reset, and boom—I’m back on track.
2. Improves Physical Health
Sitting all day? No thanks. My back and head start hurting. That’s why I use my breaks to walk around the house. Bonus? By the end of the day, I clock in around 7,000 steps.
3. Increases Creativity
Something about moving around and taking a break from work sparks new ideas. My best ones come when I’m not even trying.
4. Reduces Stress
I’m a natural-born choleric, and I’m working on it. Small breaks help me reset, breathe, and return to my Zen state.

Conclusion
I would love to knock out all my tasks in one sitting, but that’s just not realistic if I want to maintain my mental and physical health. Small breaks keep me energized, creative, and sane. Thanks to them, I exercise, run, cook, and work without feeling overwhelmed. And you know what? I love it!
