I thought about writing this blog for a long time. Notes on the topics were piling up, but despite this, I considered my decision for a long time. I finally decided. My blog Phelela was born. The blog focused on technological news, my journey in the field of software development and free time, which as a programmer I don’t spend closed somewhere between 4 walls.
Who am I?
I think it would be appropriate to introduce myself at the beginning. Hi, I’m Katarína. I have always been close to technology – I studied molecular biology, worked in cancer research and made a living as a technical copywriter. Today I have been working as a software developer for more than 4 years. My journey started in college. I joined a team of great scientists for a project I always wanted to work on.
I was fascinated by insect mimicry – the ability of insects to imitate other, dangerous insects and thus reduce the risk of being caught. I worked on a project that calculated genetic distance based on algorithms and aimed to answer the question of whether mimicry occurs more often in certain types of insects. The answer is – probably yes.
Today I am doing web application development and backend development in Python. I like my job very much. I also like to share knowledge and informations, so welcome to my private place on the Internet.
What will Phelela be about?
My blog is about sharing everything that interests me. I believe that here you will find interesting insights from the world of software development, super tech news, my tips for personal development and also ideas on how to relax after work. I will also share new ideas on my Instagram katarina.phel.
I look forward to hearing from you on my articles and don’t forget to leave me your ideas and observations in the comments section.
